Hotel Des Balances Lucerne

The Hotel des Balances is located in the heart of Lucerne’s historic old town, directly on the banks of the Reuss. As one of the region’s renowned boutique hotels, it combines upscale architecture and hospitality in a listed yet lively city center.

Problemstellung

A hotel and restaurant business in Lucerne required a comprehensive pipe renovation. A total of four pipes had to be repaired and one pipe in the Reuss had to be replaced by means of structural measures. The particular challenge was that the operation of the hotel and restaurant could not be interrupted.

Lösung

iTS Kanal Services AG carried out the work in close cooperation with construction and sanitation companies as well as a safety officer from the city of Lucerne. In order to maintain operations, a temporary dewatering system was set up for three days. This meant that the refurbishment could be carried out smoothly and without restrictions for guests and staff.
