The Hitzkirchertal extends in the Lucerne Seetal between the Baldeggersee and Hallwilersee and includes the municipalities of Hitzkirch and the districts of Altwis, Gelfingen, Hämikon, Mosen, Müswangen, Retschwil, Richensee and Sulz.
In the case of a sewer section with significant damage (cracks, holes, sockets), a comprehensive renovation was necessary. Due to the dimensions (DN 600–900 mm) and the location – partly on private property and difficult-to-access fields – the implementation represented a logistical and technical challenge. In addition, the water flow had to be coordinated with the responsible sewage treatment plant during the work.
iTS Kanal Services AG used state-of-the-art robotic rehabilitation methods (milling, crack and hole treatment, socket rehabilitation). This was supplemented by the use of Quick-Lock systems and Alphaliner liner technology for large-dimensioned supports. Close consulting and planning support enabled the originally planned renovation measures to be adapted and optimized. Some of the work was carried out under the supervision of a traffic service to ensure safety and coordination in public spaces.
The combination of technical competence and practical advice led to efficient, on-schedule implementation. Despite difficult access to the manholes and the need for coordination with third parties (traffic service, sewage treatment plant, farmers), the renovation was successfully completed. Clients and stakeholders benefited from clear communication and flexible adaptation of measures.
